Applied Research Laboratories, The University of Texas at Austin, (ARL:UT) was established in 1946 and is currently the largest organized research unit of the University and is also a U. S. Navy University Affiliated Research Center (UARC). ARL:UT is a nationally recognized leader in addressing critical problems for U.S. government and industry sponsors, and our research staff is a diverse group of scientists and engineers performing basic and applied research primarily in support of national security.
