The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the UC Davis Medical Center provides clinical and consultative pathology services in a variety of areas, with multidisciplinary teams of experienced specialists and state-of-the-art technologies. Our well-established and highly recognized educational programs include the Pathology Residency Training Program, subspecialty fellowships in cytopathology, hematopathology, and surgical pathology, postgraduate fellowships, pathology courses for medical students, and the Clinical Laboratory Scientist Training Program. The department's well-known physician-researchers, research staff, and the core laboratory constantly conduct research in diverse areas. Basic, clinical and translational medical fronts are well funded through research grants from various agencies.
