The Song Lab is a multidisplanary research team composed of molecular biologists, physician-scientists, computer engineers. Our goal is to discover the causative genomic and epigenomic variants for human diseases and their underlying mechanisms for finding preventive strategies and drugable targets. Our experimental approaches encompass molecular and cell biology, genomics, epigenomics, epidemiology, bioinformatics and computational biology. We are mainly focused on cardiovascular disease, stroke, obesity, and diabetes.
