Johns Hopkins is a world renowned medical institution known for its great reserch and clinical acumen. In 2003 the Nobel prize in chemistry was given to a Johns Hopkins resercher Peter Agre for discovering the water channel. In the transport field Johns Hopkins has several groups of researchers involved in epithelial function in the areas of cystic fibrosis, polycystic kidney disease and intestinal fluid regulation. A postdoc at this institution will have access to seminar series given by the Physiology Department, the Cell biology Department etc all of whom have world renouned scientists. |
