ABM’s pioneering and practical suite of assessment tools identify the presence and severity of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and quantify the daytime consequences of OSA including drowsiness and memory loss. The comprehensive data and interpretive reports can be used to select the optimal treatment and to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment. ABM first targeted the highly prevalent, under-diagnosed OSA, but its systems have applications to a wide range of diseases including Alzheimer’s, head trauma, stroke, and other sleep and neurological disorders. Alertness monitoring also has clear applications in safety-sensitive occupations such as the transportation industry.
