The research focus of the Dept of Biomedical Genetics is to investigate how cell regulation and signaling pathways control complex biological processes, including stem cell maintenance and differentiation, cancer, aging, and organism development. There is a focus on genetically tractable human disease models. Multidisciplinary research using state-of-the-art approaches in cell biology, genetics, genomics, systems and computational biology is conducted in the Department.
