Children's Natonal Medical Center, located in Washington, DC, is a freestanding children's hospital and research center. The Sheikh Zayed Institute for Pediatric Surgical Innovation at Children’s National was formed last year to make advances in pediatric surgery with the overarching goal of making pediatric surgery more precise, less invasive and pain-free. The four key initiatives within the Institute are pain medicine, immunology, systems biology, and bioengineering.
