Post-doctoral research positions are available in Ultrasound and Optical Imaging Laboratory at Bioengineering Department of University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). The project will focus on the development of novel cancer imaging techniques (such as optical and ultrasound-combined optical imaging techniques). The goal of our research is to achieve high resolution cancer imaging in deep tissue. We are looking for individuals who are self-motivated and specialized in either of the following two areas:
(1) Development of optical/ultrasound imaging contrast agents (such as nano-/micro- particles,
microbubbles, DNA design and manipulation, biochemical labeling, molecular targeting…)
(2) Development of optical/ultrasound imaging systems (especially ultrasound-mediated fluorescence systems).
A PhD degree in Biomedical Engineering (or Bioengineering), Biochemistry, Bionanotechnology, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Applied Physics is required.
