The Southern Alberta Mass Spectrometry (SAMS) Centre for Proteomics, is a core facility of the University of Calgary (Faculty of Medicine). SAMS offers a range of MS-driven analytical services to the research and biotech communities and primarily focuses on protein identification and characterization. As part of a research-intensive institution, it participates in collaborative projects outside of core services, and emphasizes training and education to enable independent walk-up access to MS technologies.
