Applications are invited for a postdoctoral research position available immediately. Candidates are expected to have a track record of research in optics/photonics – nonlinear optics (NLO). There are several topic areas of interest, e.g. NLO properties of organic dyes (collaborations with chemists from various institutes around the globe who send us materials). Two-photon detection (See Nature Photonics Vol. 5, Issue 9, pp. 561-565, (2011), and 2-photon gain in semiconductors.
Candidates with both analytical and experimental skills are encouraged to apply. Experience with short pulse lasers is highly desirable. The College of Optics & Photonics: CREOL & FPCE was established in 1987 as the State University System’s Center of Excellence in research and education in optical sciences and engineering.
