Job Title: Quantitative Consultant
Description:

Quantitative Consultants identify and analyze cutting-edge strategic issues facing senior business executives today. Working in teams, consultants identify major business challenges, design and manage quantitative studies to address those challenges and distill insights, results, and recommendations from the analyses into presentations and publications for senior executives. They also have opportunities for product line and business management, staff and project leadership, and product development. The best candidates can expect to provide intellectual leadership and P&L management for a multi-million dollar content business. There are no sales or business development responsibilities.

Position Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree and advanced degree required.
  • Ph.D. or advanced training in Economics, Econometrics, Applied Microeconomics, Public Policy, Political Science, Industrial Organization, Psychology, or Public Finance.
  • 3-10 years of work experience. Minimum of 2 years in a corporate work environment.
  • Willingness to travel 10-20%
  • Willingness to relocate to Washington, D.C.

Required Skills

  • Strong formal training in quantitative research methods, research design (especially survey-based research), statistical analysis, and applied statistical modeling.
  • Proficiency in at least one statistical software package (SAS, Stata, SPSS, etc.).
  • Superior analytical skills, as demonstrated by a track record of thought leadership and problem solving activities.
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills, and a deep interest in developing insights and pragmatic research solutions for an executive audience.
  • Ability to work both independently and in teams.
  • Interest and experience in teaching and public speaking.
  • Ability to facilitate discussion and present complex research findings to a variety of audiences.
