A postdoctoral research position in bioinformatics and computational structural biology is available beginning immediately. The project involves the development of a novel side-chain driven approach to template based prediction of protein structure. The work will be carried out in Jerry Tsai’s group in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Pacific in Stockton, CA. For more detail about the group see tsailab.org. A strong background is expected in computational biology and algorithm development. Candidates should also have a good understanding about the fundamentals of protein structure. Experience with programming in C and scripting in Perl is preferred. Pay is based on the current NIH pay scale for post-doctoral fellows.
