Cambridge Scientific is seeking an experienced HPLC chromatographer with experience in sample prep wishing to work on applications development and new product evaluation projects for 40 hours per week. This chemist will be responsible for duplicating existing and developing new applications using cutting edge Solid Phase Extraction (SPE) products and HPLC columns. They will also be responsible for providing summaries of test results, data analysis and interpretation, and writing technical marketing collateral.

The successful candidate will focus on SPE applications for global Chemical and Pharmaceutical markets including Environmental Testing, Food and Food Safety Testing and Forensics market segments. This position requires a high degree of creativity, teamwork, initiative, self-direction and ability to multi-task to deliver to project deadlines

Qualifications:

* An advanced degree in Chemistry (Analytical preferred), or equivalent work experience

* A minimum of 5 years, with preferably 10 or more years experience working with SPE, HPLC and MS techniques

* Must be highly independent and able to design and implement logical testing protocols

* Strong technical understanding of the principles of liquid chromatography and HPLC method development

* Experience operating Agilent's liquid chromatographs (1100/1200's) and Chemstation

* Proficient in the use of MS-Word, MS-Excel, and MS-Powerpoint to, tabulate, summarize, graph, and present data

* Excellent oral and written communication skills.

This is a 12-month assignment working on-site at our client for 40 hours per week.
