CP Post Doc - Greensboro, NC

Role Purpose -

Develop new technologies to improve the biological and physical performance of future products and to enhance our technology base in methods for product development.

Accountabilities -

Once the "best" route has been selected, work will move onto optimization of the route in the lab. The focus of this work will be 4-fold:
o Maximizing yields and quality
o Improving productivity
o Ensuring robustness / reproducibility
o Minimization of waste

• If the discovery and development are successful and we progress to large-scale, the focus of the work will move onto:

Knowledge, experience & capabilities -

Critical knowledge:

Recent Ph. D. in physical/chemical sciences
Critical experience

• Laboratory experience
• Experience with statistical analysis and experimental design
• Familiarity with emulsions, colloidal dispersions and surfactants/polymers
• Familiarity with agronomy or bioassays a plus

• Team-oriented, good communication and inter-personal skills

Critical technical, professional and personal capabilities:

• Projects will involve preparation of prototype formulations and physical property measurements.
• The technical challenges typically involve physical and chemical instabilities that conventional formulation technologies cannot overcome
