Ph.D Position "Phylogeography of lichenized fungi" PG D5.3 [Ref. #D08b] BAT ll a/2

The Ph.D project focuses on the question whether photobiont selection of lichenized fungi is related to differences in climatic conditions. Project work includes field-work in South, Central and North America, laboratory work including DNA sequencing and the development and application of microsatellite markers for mycobionts and photobionts of a widespread lichen, and statistical data analysis.
