Five Postdoctoral positions will be available for individuals who want to develop their activities on signal and image processing techniques, robotics, embedded systems, electrical engineering/applied mathematics or computer science.

The Fellowships will be held at the University of Aveiro (http://www.ua.pt/) for five years with a contract renewed every year. The research work will be performed at the IEETA research institute (http://www.ieeta.pt/). The researchers are expected to do collaborative work within the research activity of the Signal Processing Laboratory (http://www.ieeta.pt/spl), the CAMBADA Middle Size Soccer Robotic team (http://www.ieeta.pt/atri/cambada) and the Electronic Systems Laboratory (http://www.ieeta.pt/lse).

The salary is ~43k€ per year (with typical increase of 3% per year, depending on inflation rate). Tax incidence in Portugal for this level of salary is typically 27%.

The candidates should have a research experience of at least 3 years. However, candidates with less experience will be considered if they show clear evidence of expertise in relevant fields of this call. Applicants should have a PhD in mathematics,  computer science/engineering, physics, robotics or a similar discipline.

IEETA (www.ieeta.pt) is a research units of the University of Aveiro, Portugal. The Institute has currently a full-time staff of 72 persons of which 47 are PhDs, developing their activities in four laboratories and three transverse activities, nurturing strong links with other research units of the University.
