A postdoctoral research position is available to collaborate and work in a new laboratory that focuses on craniofacial and neuronal aspects of mouse development. This includes aspects of cleft lip and formation as well as cerebral cortical development with emphasis on patterning, neuronal migration and axonal pathfinding. The successful applicant will use and develop innovative approaches to manipulate craniofacial and neural development. He or she will also train technicians and doctoral candidates in histological methods and assist with the education and supervision of laboratory personnel. He or she will be expected to exercise professional, legal and ethical judgment in the performance of duties, and assist in the development of experimental protocols and techniques related to the focus of the laboratory.

Doctoral degree and documented track record in a previous laboratory are essential.
