The cold atom laboratory at Instituto de Ciencias Nucleares, UNAM, Mexico is seeking a posdoctoral researcher to do experimental work on the production and characterization of cold Rydberg atoms in a rubidium magneto-optical trap by three-photon processes. The appointment is for one year renewable for a second term. It will start in April 2009. A Ph. D. in Physics, Optics or related fields is required. Experience with magneto-optical traps and or their components (ultra-high vacuum, diode laser optics and electronics) is desirable.
