Job Title: Director of Academic Affairs
Description:

Responsible for program development, financial management, and faculty and staff oversight, supervision, and administration for all academic (both credit and non-credit) and academic support functions of Atlantic University.

Responsible for online university programs, coursework and continuing education activities. Keeps abreast of trends and changes in higher education; works for institutional vision, survival, stability, growth, and excellence.

Serves as the primary advocate and spokesperson for Atlantic University.

Accountable for (a) implementation of policies and decisions of the CEO and Board; (b) compliance with federal and state regulations; (c) cultivating productive relationships with all segments of education, community members, legislators, students, and state/federal agencies that have an interest in the University.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops, oversees, and manages online Continuing Education program offered by the University
  • Develops, expands and promotes the online education component of all academic programs of the University in clear alignment with its mission and purpose
  • Develops and oversees academic policy relative to faculty recruitment, evaluation and retention.
  • With the appropriate faculty committees, oversees and manages the development, establishment, evaluation and modification of the curricular offerings of the University.
  • Develops and oversees the execution of policy relative to the criteria for admission of applicants into the various programs of the University, enrollment practices, student services, student evaluation, collections, and records.
  • Reviews and approves all University catalogs, marketing materials and marketing programs.
  • Reviews analysis of contacts and responses to assure effectiveness of marketing programs.
  • Sets objectives with the Executive Director & CEO.
  • When required, oversees and manages development of reports and responses to academic accrediting and regulatory agencies that interface with the University.
  • Participates in and approves the review, development and management of the University's strategic plan, business and marketing plans and program development initiatives.
  • Maintain regular contact with accrediting, regulating and licensing agencies to assure the University is in good standing and responsive to new requirements and program changes.
  • Other related duties and responsibilities as needed or required
