As a Post Doc, you will:

  • Prepare novel electrode materials for potential application in high energy rechargeable lithium batteries.
  • Discover new materials and develop new synthetic routes.
  • Characterize materials by X-ray diffraction, scanning and transmission electron microscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, and vibrational spectroscopy.
  • Investigate and evaluate phase transformations, intercalation phenomena, and kinetic and thermodynamic properties of battery electrode materials using electrochemical techniques such as cycling tests, cyclic voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and spectroelectrochemistry.
  • Prepare manuscripts and reports. Make presentations at scientific meetings and internal seminars.
  • Carry out collaborative research with research associates, post-doctoral fellows, visiting scientists and students.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A recent Ph.D in chemistry, material sciences, or closely related field.
