Job Title: Assistant/Associate Professor in Social Studies - Global Educator
Description:

The University of Missouri (MU) seeks a bright and energetic Social Studies/Global Educator to work with internationally recognized faculty in the Department of Learning, Teaching, & Curriculum. This position includes teaching, research, and coordinating the Social Studies Education component of the teacher preparation program (undergraduate and graduate levels) and developing global education courses and initiatives in the department.

Responsibilities: The successful candidate will (a) teach undergraduate and graduate social studies education courses (master's and doctoral students) in Social Studies Education; (b) develop and deliver web-based and on-line courses; (c) develop and facilitate school-based field experiences; (d) advise and mentor graduate and undergraduate students; and (e) collaborate with schools involved in the MU Partnership for Educational Renewal. In addition, the successful candidate must be prepared to carry out a research agenda and to disseminate results in scholarly publications and conferences. The successful candidate will also be expected to secure external funding for research and/or training projects.
