Eastern Washington University's College of Education and Human Development is pleased to announce an opening for a tenure-track energetic and collegial faculty to help shape the future of the college and university pending availability of budget.

The Eastern Washington University Department of Education administers one of the largest NCATE-approved teacher education programs in the state of Washington and has been recognized numerous times, both regionally and nationally, for its outstanding work. Faculty members bring to the graduate and undergraduate programs depth of knowledge and experience in teaching, research, and service. The program is designed to prepare candidates to become professional educators, able to bring together subject matter and instructional strategies, to utilize technology, nurture reflective thinking, and to be sensitive to socio-cultural issues involving the learner.

Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in teacher preparation; advise and mentor students; and serve on department, college, and university service committees. Conduct research in a related field so that scholarly work informs teaching and in part, meets tenure/promotion requirements. Full-time tenure-track position in the teacher certification program (averaging 12 credit hours of teaching per quarter and collaborate involvement with PK-12 schools).

The successful candidate must pass a background check and show proof of eligibility to work in the U.S. pursuant to U.S. immigration laws.
