Beamline 9-BM of the Advanced Photon Source has been designated to become the center for catalyst research at the APS. ANL is providing initial funding to begin an upgrade of beamline capabilities and support infrastructure. A postdoctoral position is open immediately as part of this project. The candidate would participate in upgrades to develop concurrent EXAFS and diffraction techniques along with improvements in the beamline infrastructure to support in-situ studies. The candidate would also be expected to use the upgraded capabilities to carry out research in collaboration with active ANL catalyst programs. A strong background in applying synchrotron radiation techniques to catalyst research is essential.
