Job Description 

 

RTI is seeking to add Senior Scientists to its Human Services Staff.  The desired candidates will be expected to provide substantive expertise and leadership for human services research and policy and have a proven track record of winning and leading large-scale studies. We are seeking expertise in evaluation design and method development as well as programmatic expertise across in multiple candidates. 

 

   

Responsibilities 

 

As a Senior Scientist your long-term success will be measured by your ability to write successful grant and contract proposals, build on existing professional networks, and raise RTI's visibility in new research areas in collaboration with RTI colleagues. 

   

Qualifications 

 

This position requires a Ph.D. within a related area of study with a minimum of 15 years in social policy research. A strong record of publication is preferred. Your experience and interests should include one or more of the following areas: 

 

  • Designing evaluations for public programs for low income populations
  • Programmatic expertise with social policy programs that affect family well-being including:

 

TANF

Employment

Asset development and financial literacy

Disability

Social Security

Education

Food and Nutrition

Child care

Housing

  • These positions will be funded through a strategic initiative that provides significant salary support as you integrate into our organization.

  • Geographic location will be flexible, although the ability to work at an established RTI site is preferable to enhance collaboration and development opportunities with our other talented researchers.
