Nazareth College invites applications for a tenure-track position in the Mathematics Department effective Fall 2009. Doctorate in mathematics education or mathematics required. Preference given to candidates with secondary mathematics certification, demonstrated excellence in teaching (grades 7-12) and personal experience with the evolving mathematics curriculum. Responsibilities include teaching the secondary methodology course and supervising secondary mathematics student teachers as part of a four-course semester teaching load. Candidates should be committed to innovative teaching in a collaborative setting and to undergraduate student research, and should have the desire and ability to use technology as a tool in teaching mathematics. Scholarship and departmental/college service are expected as part of professional responsibilities.
