The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences in the Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences is seeking postdoctoral candidates to immediately fill two openings. Candidates must have a recent Ph.D. in chemistry/biochemistry or a related field (medicinal chemistry, biochemistry, or chemical biology), possess good synthetic and biochemical skills and have a demonstrated record of quality publications. The candidates will work in the laboratory of Dr. Steven M. Firestine on a recently funded NIH project aimed at developing inhibitors of a critical protein-protein interaction involved in cytomegalovirus DNA replication. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be capable of operating independently. A competitive salary is offered commensurate with qualifications and experience.
