You will be working with the PI on a couple of biomedicine-related projects using 3D imaging data and PDE-based numerical simulation. One such example is to model the cardiac cell contraction using electron microscopic images and finite element methods. Ideal candidates should have strong background in mathematical modeling and numerical analysis. Knowledge of 3D biomedical imaging and image analysis is a plus. Basic programming skills such as C/C++ are required.
