Job Title: Post-Doctorate Airway Inflammation (Signum-UPenn Research Collaboration)
Description:

The candidate must have a PhD in cell/molecular biology or pharmacology and a broad repertoire of molecular skills.  Experience with animal models and the ability to characterize compounds in vivo and in vitro is essential. The successful candidate will be assessing primary cellular systems (e.g. immunocytes) and the physiological (lung function measurement) and pathological (histology, moleculer arrays, FACS, ELISA, Western blot, qPCR) aspects of murine models of airway inflammation.  Ideally, the candidate should be familiar with human or murine immunology and/or disease indications of asthma and COPD.  Of critical importance is the ability to overlay cellular mechanisms (e.g. signaling, lipid biosynthesis, cell activation/apoptosis) onto disease pathophysiology.  With these abilities, it is anticipated that the candidate will be able to design and interpret experimental results. The candidate will work in a team setting on a collaborative project between the laboratory of Dr. Angela Haczku at the University of Pennsylvania and Signum Biosciences. Upon successful completion of the Post-Doctoral collaborative project, candidate will be provided the opportunity to transition to a full-time Research Scientist position at Signum Biosciences.
