A graduate research assistantship at Ph.D. level is available in the lab of Dr. Hairong Wei to develop computational approaches for gene network construction and gene function inference using gene expression data and other genomics data. The selected candidate will have opportunity to acquire training in bioinformatics and biological knowledge discovery. People have strong background in math, statistics, and computional biology are encouraged to apply. A background in either biology or machine learning is a plus, thought not a requirement.
