Requires a Ph.D. in Physics or a related discipline. Knowledge or experience in high energy resolution x-ray optics and/or synchrotron x-ray optics is highly desirable. Candidate will work with research group that is focused on achieving 0.1 meV energy resolution for inelastic x-ray scattering experiments. The selected candidate will specifically assist with examining the issues associated with achieving ultra high energy resolution in the hard x-ray regime using synchrotron x-ray techniques. Candidates must have excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to interact effectively with a diverse group of scientist, technical staff and users.
