The X-Ray Science Division at Argonne National Laboratory invites applications for a postdoctoral position at Sector 11 within the X-Ray Operations and Research. The successful candidate will perform experimental studies (including, but not limited to PDF and powder diffraction) aimed at understanding the structure underlying physical and chemical properties related to one or more of the currently ongoing projects consisting of; (1) examining the mechanism and quantitative kinetics of nano-particle formation as related to applications in catalysis, (2) investigations of the fundamental interactions of gas molecules in porous materials and at surfaces specifically relevant to applications in gas storage and separation and (3) structural studies of framework materials under high pressure and the resulting effects on functionality.
