Applications are sought for a postdoctoral position in the biophysical group of Ekaterina Pletneva at the Department of Chemistry, Dartmouth College. Research in the group examines mechanisms of folding and conformational activation in a number of signaling proteins. We employ a variety of spectroscopic tools (including stopped-flow and laser-induced kinetic measurements) to observe and quantitatively describe conformational changes, probe protein flexibility, and characterize heterogeneity of protein ensembles. Individuals with experience in molecular biology, protein chemistry and/or laser spectroscopy are particularly encouraged to apply. The start date is flexible.
