A postdoctoral position is available to study the pathogenesis of prion diseases using recombinant proteins and mouse models. We are focused on understanding the prion strain phenomenon and the molecular basis for species barriers. Candidates should have a Ph.D., research experience in biochemistry, and a strong interest in neurodegenerative disease research. Projects include peptide and protein aggregation experiments as well as the investigation of prion strains derived from in vivo material.
