DESCRIPTION:         The College is seeking individuals with outstanding research records or potentials to fill two tenured/tenure-track faculty positions to support its Ph.D. Program in Computing and Information Sciences. This user-inspired research program focuses on the theoretical and practical aspects of cyberinfrastructure as applied to specific problems across multiple domains. While qualified candidates in all research areas are encouraged to apply, we are building particular strengths in biomedical imaging and computing, computational modeling and simulation, scientific computing, and services sciences.

 

The faculty responsibilities will include teaching, research, student advising, and service. Tenure, rank, and salary are negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

REQUIRED:  Earned doctorate in a discipline related to computing and information sciences; strong research record in computing and information sciences and/or its applications to problems in sciences, engineering, business, or social sciences, and a proven record or strong potential to establish externally funded research program. 

 

PREFERRED:  Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in, including but not limited to: biomedical imaging and computing, computational modeling and simulation, scientific computing, and services sciences.  Candidates should be able to contribute in meaningful ways to RIT's commitment to cultural diversity and pluralism.

 

THE COLLEGE:

The Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences is home to the Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, and Networking, Security, and Systems Administration departments, as well as the Ph.D. Program in Computing and Information Sciences, the research arm of the college which draws additional faculty participation from the colleges of business, engineering, and sciences.
