Midsized Biologics Company located in Bridgewater, NJ dedicated to the development, manufacturing, and commercialization of important medicines for patients with cancer and other life-threatening conditions has an opening for Scientist II (Process Development)

The person filling this position will report to the Associate Director, Downstream Processing, Process Development Department, and will perform protein purification and protein conjugation by different chemistries of polyethylene glycol (PEG). He/she will participate in the design and execution purification processes and PEGylation reactions in small and scaled up reactions and assist in transferring methods to the Process Development Group.

The position is open to a BS/MS or PhD depending on your experience and knowledge. A strong analytical understanding of proteins, analysis of proteins and PEG-proteins by various techniques (i.e., UV/VIS spectrophotometry, electrophoresis, HPLC, etc.) and superior data documentation, interpretational and report writing skills is a requirement. Experience in protein purification techniques (i.e., chromatography, filtration, ultrafiltration, etc.) is also a requirement. Required to have strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a multidisciplinary environment is essential. Experience with the purification of proteins in an industrial setting is essential.
