Senior management position within a Pre-IPO investment management firm

Responsibilities:

• Leadership and direction for the financial reporting, tax, and regulatory compliance programs of the firm pre and post IPO and subsequent FPO's
• Work with transfer agents and stock placement agent pre-IPO to ensure compliance with share sales/exchanges. This includes eligibility testing and AML compliance.
• Oversee all quarterly and annual GAAP reporting.
• Manage all regulatory filings (Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, etc.) after and coordinate the year-end audits, annual tax returns, periodic tax estimates, tax compliance reports
• Document and test internal control environment in anticipation of the Company's future need to comply with the requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley
• Establish, maintain and manage relationships with various service providers, including custodians, accountants, tax professionals, and lawyers.

Requirements:

• CPA with 10+ year's progressive financial reporting experience with a strong background in accounting and tax in securities trading.
• Must have detailed exposure to Initial Public Offering (IPO) and/or Follow On Public Offer (FPO)
• Experience with partnership taxes and partnership tax allocation methods are preferred.
• Knowledge of "publicly-traded-partnerships and the rules required to maintain PTP status
• MBS/ABS, REITs and derivative product knowledge highly desired.
• Exposure to public company financial reporting experience in the role of Controller or CFO highly desired.
• Experience interacting and reporting to a Board of Directors highly desired.
