Teach in the Industrial Distribution program with its focus on preparing students for careers as technical sales representatives and future business leaders. Teaching responsibility will be in one or more of the following areas: manufacturer/distributor relations, technical products and applications, industrial branch operations, and other courses as appropriate. An active and productive research and scholarship agenda coupled with service to the university is expected along with active participation in seeking external funds for program development. Required: Earned Doctorate Degree in Industrial Technology, Vocational Education, Business, Marketing, Management, Curriculum & Instruction, or related degree. Must have knowledge of or experience in, and a passion for teaching the industrial wholesale distribution business with a focus on technical sales and branch operations. Must be student centered to serve as a mentor to students seeking to achieve their career goals. Expertise is required in sales, management, and one or more technical areas such as, but not limited to, electrical, datacom, mechanical or fluid power systems. Preferred: Qualifications being considered include industrial distribution industry experience, successful teaching, research, curriculum development, service to a university, student organizations, active networking with industry and national associations, and obtaining external funding.
