Our client, a Global and mature hedge fund wishes to appoint and experienced Java developer with a strong background in developing machine learning based software and trading programs.

Technical Expertise

As a leading automated trading business, this group has developed an expertise in the application of sophisticated statistical, machine learning, signal processing and econometrics.

The group enjoys a series domain of traders, quantitative researchers and technologist that cover the research, development and deployment of the numerous trading strategies and books.  Within one of these clusters there is a need to appoint an expert Java developer with a deep understanding of machine learning based software and trading programs.

Role and Experience

This is an exciting opportunity to join a sophisticated trading team. You will work closely with trading, research and technology professionals in enhancing existing and developing new trading programs and strategies using advanced machine learning techniques.

As an integral member of the team you will work on and be exposed to pretty much all aspects of their work. Your contribution will be varied from working closely with a senior trader in the research and implementation of a new machine learning based strategy; working with other technologists in developing or enhancing a new data-mining software program; to enhancing existing source code across a spectrum of trading programs.

You must be an expert Java developer with a good understanding of machine learning techniques.

You must have a passion for the application of sophisticated technological and numerical techniques to trading the markets.

You will be strong quantitatively and the ability to contribute to the process not just from the technology but also trading and research angle.
