Job Title: Postdoctoral position in MEMS/NEMS sensor development
Description:

The Nanoscale Electronics and Sensors Laboratory in the Department of Electrical Engineering has an immediate opening for a postdoctoral research associate starting immediately. This is initially a two year position, with renewal after first year contingent upon satisfactory progress. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

 

Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for fabrication of nanoelectronic and micro/nanoelectromechanical devices using photolithographic and/or e-beam lithographic techniques, their structural/electrical/mechanical characterization, and applications in chemical/biological/radiological sensing. Other responsibilities include assistance in grant proposal writing, and general lab supervision.

 

Requirements: An earned doctoral degree (preferably from an accredited US university), and a strong background in semiconductor materials and devices is required. Sufficient clean room and lithographic fabrication experience is also necessary to begin work immediately. Structural characterization experiences with SEM, AFM, TEM, etc., and background in MEMS or nanoelectronic devices will be a plus.
