The Division of Hematology-Oncology, Department of Medicine, and the Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center, University of California, Irvine, have an immediate opening for a postdoctoral fellow to participate in ongoing research on the role of inflammation in the development of prostate cancer. The fellow will utilize novel transgenic models of chronic prostate inflammation to characterize cytokine-dependent signaling pathways and survival signals, and to develop therapeutic approaches to modify the same. The successful pursuit of these goals will identify new agents for the chemoprevention of prostate cancer.
