Description:

A postdoctoral position is immediately available for a period of two years or more to study mechanisms that control chromosome replication and segregation in Vibrio cholerae. The position offers outstanding opportunity to carry out research in an interdisciplinary, interactive, and resourceful environment.

The candidate should have a Ph.D. and less than five years of postdoctoral experience. An in depth background in molecular genetics or biochemistry of bacterial systems is desired. Additionally, experience in fluorescence microscopy, genome scale function analysis, or bioinformatics analysis would be welcome. Salary will depend on experience but will not be less than $46,200 per annum plus training, travel, and health benefits.

This position is subject to a background investigation.

The National Cancer Institute coordinates the National Cancer Program, which conducts and supports research, training, health information dissemination, and other programs with respect to the cause, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of cancer, rehabilitation from cancer, and the continuing care of cancer patients and the families of cancer patients.
