Leading and stable global proprietary trading group at a European Investment Bank would like to appoint a quantitative trader / researcher for its futures trading effort.

Systematic Futures

With a global team of 8 people, this team is part of a much larger prop effort. This individual team is mandated with and enjoys its focus on the global futures markets across numerous asset classes.

As a member of the team, you will work on the full spectrum of this systematic futures trading operation: alpha generation, back-testing, C++ implementation of trading algorithms, building requisite tools and trading.

As things continue to settle down a little at this firm and others, the opportunity for growth is quite significant for 2009, 2010 and beyond. At this group, despite its very strong performance and like many others on the street, capital and headcount have been curtailed this year. Increasingly, but only slightly, the head of the desk and prop head have started to look to their plans for January 2009 hiring. As part of that evaluation, the desk head and prop head would like to start the search and hire for this individual.

Qualifications

PhD in a quantitative discipline.

At least 1 years experience in developing systematic trading strategies from a hedge fund or proprietary trading environment.

Good programming skills in C++.
