Your tasks: Participation in research projects with emphasis on

Efficient Numerical Methods for Partial Differential Equations.

Assistance in teaching and administrative tasks. An opportunity to obtain further academic qualifications (PhD, habilitation, etc.) is provided.

Your qualification: University degree (Diploma or Master) in mathematics with excellent grades
and an emphasis on the implementation and application of adaptive finite elements or an emphasis
on parallelization and application of finite elements. In addition, profound programming experience
in the languages C or C++ has to be documented.

Inception of contract: 01.02.2009
Duration of contract: 2 years, extension intended
Working hours: 75 percent or in case of an adequate qualification (PhD, e.g.) full time
Application deadline: 01.01.2009
