We are seeking postdoctoral researchers in small animal, biomedical imaging to join the biomedical imaging group at Case Western Reserve University. Researchers will participate in ongoing projects in imaging of stem cells, cancer, nano-drug delivery, assessment of disease, quantitative image quality, and/or quantitative MRI. Our group has recently created a whole mouse cryo-imaging system which gives 50+ GB, micron-scale images of a whole mouse with single cell sensitivity for fluorescently labeled cells, providing unique analyses of stem cells and micro-metastases. Successful candidates will be involved with development of image analysis and visualization, as well as biological experiments. Persons will be expected to publish papers and assist on research proposals. We are principally seeking post doctoral researchers with a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, or computer science. Experience with image analysis, animal experiments, optical imaging, and/or medical imaging technologies are a plus. However, we will consider very strong, determined candidates with other PhD training who want to learn about these important new technologies.

Our laboratory is in the Department of Biomedical Engineering. We have collaborative project across the medical school including Radiology and Cardiology. We perform experiments in the state-of-the-art Case Small Animal Imaging Resource Center which houses MRI, PET, optical, CT, and SPECT imaging devices.
