The D. E. Shaw group, a global investment and technology development firm with approximately US $35 billion in aggregate investment capital and an international reputation for financial innovation and technological leadership, seeks an exceptionally gifted individual for the role of an Electronic Options Marketmaking Specialist in its Options group. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in all aspects of electronic options marketmaking systems. Exposure to forecasting is desirable, as is an academic background in computer science, mathematics, physics, statistics, or another quantitative field. The role offers potential to develop into a leadership position in the firm's option marketmaking business. Experience interacting with a trading desk is a plus.
