A postdoctoral research position is available in a research program focusing on the structure and function of G protein-coupled glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP1) receptor, an important drug target for Type 2 diabetes. The goal of this program is to understand the detailed molecular basis of ligand binding and activation of the GLP1 receptor using unique photochemical techniques, as well as molecular biological, biochemical, and cell biological approaches (JBC, 279:31177, 2004; Mol Endocrinol, 22:1489, 2008).
