SCG Chemicals, petrochemical business under SCG, manufactures and supplies a full range of chemical products ranging from upstream chemicals such as olefins, intermediate chemicals such as styrene monomer, PTA, and MMA, to downstream chemicals such as polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, and polystyrene resins.

Job Challenges:

• Determine project/research subject and clear objective as well as responsible for the assigned project/research based on our company research methodology
• Conduct or study feasibilities of the assigned research for further process
• Coordinate with internal and external parties, and also allocate the assignments to technicians
• Provide the valuable advice and innovative ideas on both new research and test
• Construct, report and publicize research for Intellectual Property protection

Our Research Group:

1. Olefin Research Group : The scope of research is divided into 4 main focuses;

• Advanced Olefins
• Byproduct Upgrading
• Clean Technology
• Performance Material

2. Polyolefin Research Group : The polyolefin research group consists of 3 key clusters as the following;

• Catalyst Research Group
• Polymer Innovation Research Group
• Process Technology and Process Control & Simulation Group

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in related field of study: Polymer Synthesis, Polymer Characterization , Chemical Engineering, Organic Chemistry, Biotechnology, Bio Engineering
• At least 2 years of related experience
• Strong knowledge and technical competency
• Excellent in initiation, self direction, problem solving and achievement orientation
• Positive attitude towards Innovation Management and Research & Development
