Multiple positions and open for Scientific Data Management Specialists to process, solicit, and provide assistance with data submissions for scientific data from epigenomic and/or genome sequencing and genotyping experiments into existing databases, analysis pipelines and associated data flows.  Developing and improving the infrastructure supporting these systems.  

Required Skills for all positions:

· Formal Education (minimum: Masters of Science or equivalent)

· Scripting experience in PERL or related language

· Experience with LINUX/UNIX

· Ability to use Microsoft Excel and related applications

· Strong oral and written communication skills

· Broad knowledge of biology, especially genetics, cell biology, and biochemistry

· The candidate has experience moving large amounts of scientific data reliably and efficiently

Required Skills for some positions, desired for all positions

· Experience with SQL

· Knowledge of chip-based and sequencing-based high-throughput methodologies

· Experience with sequence alignment programs (BLAST or related)

Desired Skills:

Since there are multiple positions open, the below is just a sampling of skills that are expected to be useful in these positions.

· Experience with XML/XSLT

· Experience with array data, especially expression or genotyping data

· Experience with C++ (or C)

· Experience with grid computing (LSF,SunGrid, etc.)

· Experience doing QA filtering of genotype data (HWE, non-Mendelian segregation)
