Well funded biotechnology startup is looking to hire a research associate to support compound optimization within the drug discovery lab. The candidate will work closely with senior scientists on identifying new drug targets and improving efficacy of existing compounds, particularly within metabolic small molecule pathways. The position will entail performing data analysis, assisting in experimental design and conducting extensive hands-on bench work with both automated and non-automated research procedures.  

Top candidates will come from a M.S. or B.S. in Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field and have 2+ years of drug discovery experience at a major pharmaceuticals company as a Research Associate. Candidates should be well acclimated with drug discovery of small molecule therapeutics. Experience with both highly automated lab techniques (such as High Content Screening) as well as comfort performing non-automated research is a must. Compensation is top of the market and relocation will be provided to the right candidate.
