RESPONSIBILITIES:

In this position, you will support clinical development programs and drive the implementation of assigned clinical development activities at TAMS/MSC strategic luminary sites - specific areas of focus include recommending high impact research projects, project definition including key milestones, production of scientific publications and presentations, clinical images and medical advisory boards; Manage assigned luminary research projects through key milestones including data collection, protocol development, data acquisition, phantom studies, equipment operation, post processing, co-writing papers and developing presentations; Communicate monthly status updates to TAMS BU’s, engineering and product development teams.

You will fully support clinical collaborators in the publication of peer review papers and the development of presentations at clinical symposia; Operate within assigned budgets which support defined clinical projects; Act as back up to Director CT Business Unit in representing and promoting TAMS clinical developments to industry media sources, professional associations and key customers; Analyze, track and communicate relevant clinical procedures and emerging application trends to business units, TAMS executive team and new product development teams; Counsel business units on the development of clinical arguments for our products and clinical counter arguments against competition; Develop a strong group of clinical advisors. Gather this group at least once a year for a formal clinical advisory board meeting with TMSC engineering.

QUALIFICATIONS:

PhD in Imaging Physics or one of the clinical sciences;
5 - 7 years experience as a Physicist in a clinical hospital or clinical research setting;
5 - 7 years clinical teaching experience in a university setting;
Proficiency with computers in windows-based software environment;
Strong communication skills, including credible interaction with prominent academicians and demonstrated skill at scientific writing and presenting;
Proven ability to operate effectively in a matrix organizational structure;
Detailed technical knowledge of CT, MR, X-ray or Vascular systems desired;
Prior management or project management experience desired;
Working knowledge of clinical review workstations desired.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is performed in an office or on-site clinical environment, requiring the frequent operation of standard office equipment such as personal computer, telephone, fax and copy machines, as well as frequent operation of clinical imaging equipment.

This job requires extensive travel, which will entail frequent extended overnight travel.

Regular training through Toshiba and symposia courses mandatory.
